The interaction of people with each other, and their environment, is the constant thread that weaves throughout my work.  They gather in groups for unspecified events.  They confer, discuss, investigate, play, wonder and wait.   They merge and blend with their surrounds whilst still anchored in their presence.   A stillness exists despite the obvious activities of the protagonists.   
I use collage as a drawing and painting tool, as texture, and as a springboard.  The use of text expands my initial idea and creates further dialogue within the work an invitation to the viewer to create their own dialogue with the work.   Chris Rowe
