The Conti Summer Exhibition 06-07

Hayden P Jarrett
As people, we tend to perceive reality through an already knowing, based on our previous experiences and our responses and reactions to these.
These works are reflections on experiences where the previously known becomes irrelevant and a new seeing gives us a different sense of ourselves and our values.    In the past my work (landscapes) has been 'realistic'.    These are an emotive response to the current ongoing environmental degradation; turning a paradise into desert only reinforces the fragility of our own existence.
There is nothing more important than life itself and I trust that these works convey this to you, the viewer.  Hayden P Jarrett

Although every care has been taken with the production of this page, including photographing of the works above, we suggest that to see the true colours of the works without the interference of a photographic flash and to view the extraordinary detail and work that has gone into these pieces, you take the time to view the exhibition while it is hanging.  You will not be disappointed!
